The Unity in Diversity theme contest is held each spring, and theme entries may be submitted by students, faculty and staff. The Unity in Diversity Steering Committee selects the theme contest winner from among hundreds of entries at the group's March meeting each year. The winner of each year's theme contest is awarded a $100 prize.

Obe Quarless's theme will be used as the basis for the poster design contest and will be used as the theme for the 2011-2012 Unity in Diversity Steering Committee.
