The mission of the University Benefits Committee is to act as an advisory body to the president on any and all employee benefits pertaining to faculty and operating staff and supportive professional staff. The committee also reviews present benefit plans and proposals received from the University Council, the Faculty Senate, the Operating Staff Council, the Supportive Professional Staff Council, and the committee itself, and makes recommendations to the president concerning employee benefits.


Take the Benefits Survey

The University Benefits Committee is asking NIU faculty, staff and annuitants to participate in a short survey on your experiences in the past year with health insurance coverage. We are aware of the difficulties this fiscal situation has caused so many of our colleagues. We will compile results and use the aggregated, anonymous results to talk with administrators and legislators about the human impact of the State debt. The survey should take you less than ten minutes. This survey has been approved by President Peters and Human Resource Services.
