Audition and Interview Dates

Contact the School of Theatre and Dance to make an appointment to attend an audition, interview and/or portfolio review. There is a $40.00 audition fee payable in cash or check before or at the time of the audition except for those held on the NIU campus or at the Illinois High School Theatre Association festival.

Audition and Scholarship Interview Day--(For all degrees in Theatre and Dance)

Monday, February 18, 2013.

Applicants to BFA in Acting, BFA in Design and Technology and BA in Theatre Studies programs must contact the school to obtain application forms and to schedule an audition, portfolio presentation, or interview. Appointments are required for auditions or portfolio reviews. Please call 815.753.1334 to reserve a time. Auditions will take place in Stevens Building Room 226 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continuing until 5:00 p.m.

BFA in Acting applicants contact Professor Stanton Davis: 815.753.8278, stantondavis@niu.edu.

BFA in Design and Technology applicants contact Professor Tracy Nunnally: 815.753.9342, tnunnally@niu.edu.

BA in Theatre Studies applicants call Dr. Patricia Ridge: 815.753.8074, patricialridge@niu.edu.

NOTE: if a scholarship application is NOT being submitted, interviews and auditions can be scheduled at any of the other dates listed below or by appointment.

Applicants to BFA in Dance program -- No appointment is necessary.
10:00 a.m. -- Orientation in Gabel Hall, Room 119
11:00 a.m. -- Audition Class in Gabel Hall, Room 113.

NOTE: The audition consists of a ballet class with modern and jazz dance combinations. There is no audition fee and application packets can be filled out that day. Proper dance attire is required.
