The Canterbury Tales

based on Geoffrey Chaucer

adapted by Luke Krueger

This adaptation of Geoffrey Chaucerís The Canterbury Tales is a re-telling of three stories, intertwined with songs and dance from the period and biographical detail about Chaucerís life and relationship with the courts of Richard II and Henry IV. Partially presented as it was written in Middle English, The Canterbury Tales maintains the original spirit of the tales, which was to ironically and critically portray the turbulent England of the time, from politics to religion and from chivalry to baseness.
