Kent Gallagher is an author, educator, director and theatre administrator. He has directed a variety of professional and university productions including the exclusive Northern Illinois University pre-New York presentation of Shakespeare and the Indians by Dale Wasserman.
He has written for screen and television and has published a book and numerous articles on theatre history, teaching, theatre production and performance.
In 1980 he received the Kennedy Center Medallion for outstanding achievement in university theatre and service to the American College Theatre Festival. Recently, Dr. Gallagher was appointed to the Cultural Arts Commission of Geneva, Illinois.
