Prerequisites 

The following courses need to be taken as early as possible in your studies:

  • Math 155 and Stat 208
  • Physics 150A and Chem. 110 and 111 (make sure they are the lab component)
  • Tech 175 (175A), 265 and 211

Make sure English 308 is taken prior to senior year.

Required courses

  • Tech 302 – requires Tech 211
  • Tech 391 -  requires Stat 208

Areas of Study

Environmental Safety and Health – Tech 231 and 245 – 432, 436, 437, 441, 481 and 1 elective

  • 231, 245 and 434 are prereqs – students must take these first

Manufacturing – Tech 260, 262, 311, 313, 365, 420 and 2 electives

  • 211, 265 and 311 are prereqs– students must take these first

Plastics – Tech 262, 311, 344, 345, 393, 427 an 2 electives

  • 211, 265 are prereqs – students must take these first

Computer-Aided-Design – Tech 262, 311, 312, 313, 314, 414 and 2 electives

  • 211, 265, and 311 are the prereqs.– students must take these first

Electronics – Tech 270, 276, 277, 295, 377 and 2 electives

  • 270 and 175 are the prerequisites.– students must take these first 

NOTE – The IM & T capstone course - 496 requires – Engl 308, tech 265, 302, 395 

Due to NAIT accreditation issues the Department of Technology will not make exceptions to the prerequisite structure.
