Education as an Agent for Change (EPFE 201)

Education as an Agent for Change is a Kinesiology & Physical Education class focusing on the study of the complex problems facing educational and other institutions in our mulitcultural or pluralistic communities as well as the role of education as an agent for change. For example, students interested in making a change may focus on environmental issues trying make everyday habits more green.

No Child Left Inside 

The No Child Left Inside concept is receiving increasing attention for promoting environmental education among school children.

Physical Activity and Life Skills (PALS)

The PALS Group at Northern Illinois University has been established with the support of the Collaborative on Early Adolescence (CEA) and is headquartered in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education (KNPE) at NIU. The PALS Group is committed to promoting healthy development and teaching life skills through physical activity. They have a strong impact on children and youth in the local community and aspire to achieve national and international prominence. The Physical Activity and Life Skills (PALS) Group at Clinton Rosette Middle School will be collaborating with the Communiversity Gardens
