| Mission SummerNITE is dedicated to developing and producing new works (or works new to the nation or the region) by established and emerging playwrights. It is dedicated to fostering work of distinction and serving as a resource for both the Chicago area's professional theatre community and the Northern Illinois region. NITE is committed to the highest professional quality of production while providing the students of the School of Theatre Arts with substantive internship opportunities in the full range of activities which are inherent to theatrical including acting,directing, design, technical production, audience development, fund raising, company management, and marketing. History SummerNITE is the resident professional Equity company operated by the School of Theatre Arts at Northern Illinois University. The School of Theatre Arts is a member of NAST (the National Association of Schools of Theatre) and U/RTA (the University/Resident Theatre Association). |
