Why did you decide to study abroad?

I decided to study abroad because it was a great opportunity to learn another language in the country of origin. It was also a great experience to learn about another culture through total immersion. I also always wanted to visit Germany, plus I earned 6 credits and finished my language requirement!

Why do you think it’s important to study abroad?

It’s important to study abroad because you get an opportunity to learn about other people and other cultures. You gain new appreciation for how other people live and become more cultured yourself.

Any tips for students interested in studying abroad?

Just do it! You may be worried about money or flying or leaving for a significant period of time, but there are ways around all of that. The study abroad office has so many resources for you!

Favorite excursion or adventure

My favorite excursion while in Germany was when we visited the St. Elizabeth’s Cathedral in Marburg. As someone who studied medieval architecture it was truly a breathtaking experience.
