Why did you decide to study abroad?

I always knew I wanted to study abroad. It was a big goal of mine to do it since high school besides graduate from college. I love to travel and try new things, study abroad was the perfect way to do that and still graduate on time.

Favorite memory from studying abroad:

There are so many memories when it comes to my study abroad experience.  It is so hard to pinpoint exactly one experience.  I think just being able to go and have the experience is my favorite memory. I did something that not a lot of my friends were able to do. I met so many amazing people from around the world, and through the friendships I created while I was in South Africa has made every day that I was there my favorite memory.

Why do you think that it is important to study abroad?

I think it is important to study abroad because there are so many experiences you have that you cannot experience at your home university. It is definitely a huge learning experience. Not only do you get to learn about another culture, and what it is like to live somewhere  else but you also learn a lot about yourself. You can be your own person and be independent.
