‘No Excuses University’ provides activities and encouragement to influence K-8 students to achieve their academic goals and furthering their education beyond high school. Stop by the SILD office and adopt a 5th grader from Jane Addams School (Palatine, IL) for the semester. Write letters, share stories...tell them that college can be a part of their futures!

The Egyptian Theatre (DeKalb, IL), built in 1929, is a historical marker in downtown DeKalb. Take a few hours to complete some odd jobs that will help thousands of DeKalb County residents enjoy attending events in the theatre for years to come.
