Involvement Fair 2015: Registration Now Open!

The Involvement Fair is an opportunity for student organizations and departments to tell students about what they do and to recruit new students who may be interested in joining their organization or utilizing departmental services. The event is open to all, especially those looking to get involved on campus! The Involvement Fair will take place on Sunday, August 23rd, 2015 from 2:00-4:00pm in the Promenade Lounge, Capital Room, Duke Ellington Ballroom, and Art Gallery Lounge. All rooms are located in the Holmes Student Center.

Please follow the link below to the online application in order for your department/organization to participate in the Involvement Fair.

To complete the registration process, student organizations must provide a cost center number on the application or bring a check/cash to Student Involvement & Leadership Development in the Campus Life Building, room 150. All checks must be made payable to Northern Illinois University. PLEASE FILL OUT THE APPLICATION FIRST BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR PAYMENT. We will not accept any payment if you have not registered your organization. If you are an NIU department, you don't have to pay a registration fee.

Below are additional details for the Involvement Fair: 

  • From April-June 30th, the fee is $10.00 to participate. From July 1st-July 31st, the registration fee will be $15.00. If you register in the month of August, the fee is $20.00 to participate.
  • If you are paying with a check/cash, all payment must be delivered to Student Involvement & Leadership Development, Campus Life Building room 150, by Thursday, August 20th at 4:00pm.
  • This fee is non-refundable.
  • Registration closes on Wednesday, August 19th at 8:00am. 
  • Check-in begins at 1:00pm (TENTATIVE) on Sunday, August 23rd at the front desk area of the Holmes Student Center.
  • Which room your table is located in will be assigned by Student Involvement & Leadership Development. Your table will need to be set up by 2:00pm or risk forfeiture.
  • Tables must be staffed by a member of the sponsoring organization/department from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. 
  • Masking or painter’s tape are the only type of tape allowed for use on the tables. No other types of tape, paint, or ink may be used on the tables.
  • Your organization/department is responsible for any damages to tables/chairs used at this event. 
  • A confirmation email will be sent during the week of August 10th. It will include detailed check-in instructions and finalized times for the Fair.
