Community Service

HP4C Banner

Huskie Paws for a Cause (HP4C) is a year-long program for students dedicated to serving others and making a difference in their communities. Throughout the school year, students have opportunities to participate in campus and community service experiences focused on a different social issue each month. Social issue education and reflection activities will help students to understand the root causes of social issues and explore possible solutions to these issues within the DeKalb community and the Nation. Participants assist with the implementation of programs on campus such as Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, Make A Difference Day, and NIU Cares Day. This program is a great opportunity for those individuals who are enthusiastic about being a part of the growing student service movement.

Advance registration is required for all HP4C events. The registration deadline is one week prior to the project date. Drop by the Student Involvement & Leadership Development office (Campus Life Building, Room 150) or fill out the online registration form here to register for a HP4C event.
