The NIU LEAD Summit is NIU's premier leadership conference. This leadership conference is open to all NIU students; however, conference content is geared toward undergraduate students. Participants have opportunities to attend various workshops related to developing leadership skills, hear from a keynote speaker, and network with other student leaders and staff members. The Summit also features a Greek track specifically designed for student members of Fraternity & Sorority Life.
The Fall 2014 NIU LEAD Summit was held Saturday, September 20, 2014, in Barsema Hall. Workshops for the Summit included such topics as Leadership 101, Diversity in Leadership, Resume Writing, and so much more! Our Greek track included topics such as Improving your Academics and Living your Values. Our keynote speaker, T.J. Sullivan, an experienced speaker who has spoken to over two million college students on topics including student leadership and fraternity and sorority life, was received with rave reviews!
This year's sponsors included the Interfraternity Council, College of Business Passport Program, and Student Involvement & Leadership Development.
We are currently planning the NIU LEAD Summit to be held during the 2015-2016 school year. If you have any questions about the NIU LEAD Summit, please contact Kelli Bradley, Assistant Director for Leadership & Student Organizational Services, at 815-753-6505 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
