Vision 2020 Alignment

The Vision 2020 Initiative was charged with creating and implementing a new vision for NIU: becoming the most student-centered public research university in the Midwest and establishing strategic goals for the coming decade in areas of student, faculty and facility excellence.

This was not an additional or new strategic planning effort. Rather, Vision 2020 relied on the comprehensive efforts and conclusions of the Great Journeys Strategic Plan, the Baccalaureate Review Task Force, and the Enrollment Management Strategic Task Force.

The goals of the FY12 and Beyond initiaties have been aligned with the goals established for Vision 2020.
