A survey of chairs and center directors was conducted in July of 2010.

Workshop for chairs was conducted in September of 2010.

NIU will review, consolidate and benchmark its existing diversity initiatives regarding curriculum, the cocurriculum, and institutional culture.

Establish a task force to review diversity related minors and certificates

 

A working group was appointed by the Provost in Fall semester of 2009.

During the 2009-2010 academic year the working group reviewed seven interdisciplinary minors and two interdisciplinary certificate programs.

Recommendations were made to the Provost and resulted in the hiring (Fall 2011) of a part-time Coordinator of Academic Diversity Programs who will work with the Academic Diversity Program Advisory Committee (ADPAC)
