The Maker Movement: A Democracy of Doers!

Tuesday, February 24th, 6:30 - 8:30pm

O'Leary's Restaurant and Pub, 260 E. Lincoln Hwy, DeKalb, IL 60115

Feeling alienated by consumer culture? Longing to use your hands for something other than emailing and online shopping? A growing subculture of makers and doers are sharing ideas, tools, and workspaces as they invent everything from robots to life hacks. Join Andrew Morrison, NIU alum and professor of physics and astronomy at Joliet Junior College and Russ Lankenau, co-founder and president of the Workshop 88 makerspace, to explore the Maker Movement and its learning through doing approach to STEM.
