STEM issues affect all of us every day. The invisibility cloaks now being invented are not part of our lives, yet, but technologies like virtual worlds, video games, and cell phone cameras are. Complicated decisions about everything from cutting-edge healthcare procedures to consumer purchases to alternative energy sources affect us all. Now, more than ever, we need to know more about the STEM subjects, and our work places need highly trained employees to succeed in global competition.
