The Faculty of Adult
and Higher Education at the College of Education
is committed to improving human resource potentials of adults
through teaching, research and service activities. Its mission,
along with its other units, is to promote high standards of
professional education in an environment attentive to the
needs of students, faculty, and the broader society it serves.
It is committed to the best practices in the preparation and
continuing education of professionals in the field adult education
while advancing scholarly activity; supporting individual
and collaborative efforts in institutional and non-institutional
settings; and advancing diversity and equity in teaching,
research, and services.
The service programs of the Faculty of Adult Education are
designed to foster interaction with practitioners and to share
expertise that can improve the professional development of
both. It has a strong tradition of providing professional
development programs for international practitioners for social
change and continues this commitment in to the future.
