Scholarly Interests: My intellectual focus is broadly framed by questions of social control as process and outcome, with special attention to the criminal justice system as a focus for race, class, and gender inequalities. My current research is concerned with aspects of police decision-making, socio-historical and political forces affecting the police industry, intellectual property law and its violation, and gun culture.
