Sigma Kappa Delta Events
The Sigma Kappa Delta National Convention is part of the Sigma Tau Delta International Convention. Registration for the event is through Sigma Tau Delta, and SKD registrants have full access to all programs and presentations sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta.
Online registration will open January 6, 2014.
This year our Meet and Greet will be held at The Pirates' House from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Please meet in the lobby of the Savannah Marriott Riverfront hotel at 3:45. You will receive your password to get into the Speakeasy before we leave. We have an exciting game planned. Wear your best 1920's style attire. This event is at no cost to Sigma Kappa Delta members.
The Boar's Head will be our hosts for the awards luncheon. Please meet in the lobby of the Savannah Marriott Riverfront hotel at 11:15. We will be honoring those individuals who have won the national writing contests and scholarships, and also present the chapter awards for best literary magazine and chapter activity. The Awards Luncheon is at no cost to Sigma Kappa Delta members.
This is a chance to learn more about Sigma Kappa Delta and receive any updated convention materials.
Each chapter should send 1-2 representatives to this information session where students will be able to make suggestions concerning our Society. This is a first-time event, and we hope to have a lively discussion among Sigma Kappa Delta student members.
Fulbright Scholar Dr. Randy Cross will be discussing T.S. Stribling, Pulitzer-prize winning author of The Store (1933).
This year's Student Roundtable Discussion will feature Sigma Kappa Delta members discussing "Against the Current: Life Changing Literature."
Congratulations to the SKD members whose papers were accepted for presentation:
