Environmental Health and Safety

Environmental Health and Safety provides several services related to risk assessment, control and mitigation, particularly in the areas of occupational safety, special event review and air quality control. Environmental Health and Safety also performs ergonomic workplace evaluations and ensures compliance with with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

International Affairs

International Affairs provides much-needed travel guidance for students, faculty and staff traveling internationally. The information includes state travel warnings, travel alerts, notices from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and general travel advice.

Public Safety

Public Safety is an excellent resource for event staffing, emergency management, emergency response and incident reporting.

Procurement

For contract questions, the Office of Contracts Management within Procurement is the best resource. Contract managers can walk any campus client through the contracting process from beginning to end.

Human Resource Services

Human Resource Services (HRS) is responsible for workers’ compensation, employment compliance, labor relations, affirmative action, records retention and other areas that often coincide with risk management operations.

Office of General Counsel

The Office of General Counsel (OGC) can assist with waiver drafts and recommendations for events. OGC also reviews endeavors and offers input from a legal perspective.

Transportation Services

Transportation Services manages automobile insurance for university fleet vehicles. Transportation also assists with claims management for accidents in any vehicles being used for state and university business.
