Coverage Assessment

Risk Management will assist individuals, groups or departments with determining whether insurance is available for a particular action, event, research initiative or other endeavor.

New Policy Procurement

Risk Management will assist with searching for and procuring insurance policies, where appropriate, for NIU individuals or groups seeking coverage. Insurance purchases are subject to the Illinois Procurement Code, but Risk Management has access to brokers and carriers who have already been awarded contracts at the state level, making insurance procurement customer-friendly.
