Academic Support Services

Educational Services and Programs (ESP)

Identifies, recruits, prepares, and assists otherwise capable students whose pre-college education has not fully enabled them to take maximum advantage of their potential and the opportunity of higher education. ESP provides personal, academic, and career counseling assistance through various programs designed to enhance the academic performance of its high school and college students.

Learning Assistance and Study Skills Lab

(LASSL)—Assists students in developing effective study skills and habits through assessment, individual and group consultations, and workshop presentations.

Tutoring

The university provides free tutoring services for students primarily through the ACCESS/PAL tutoring programs, which include one-on-one and group tutoring as well as Supplemental Instruction, a unique tutorial.
