Fitness Orientations

Recreation Services offers FREE fitness orientations to students and members who need assistance getting started on the cardiovascular and strength training equipment.  Fitness Orientations are a great idea for individuals new to exercise, or those not familiar with the various equipment options available at Recreation Services facilities.  Sessions are available on an as-needed basis.  Orientation sessions may be individual or in small groups, depending on demand.  Note:  Fitness Orientations are not personal training sessions.  Visit personal training for information on getting a trainer for long-term, private one-on-one sessions.

Contact the Graduate Assistant for Fitness/Wellness to set  up your personal or group fitness orientation!

What is the benefit of participating in a Fitness Orientation session?

  • Learn what cardiovascular and strength training equipment is available for use in both the Student Recreation Center and Chick Evans Field House.
  • Learn important information ranging from how to turn on and program the cardiovascular machines, to understanding the basics of utilizing the strength training equipment.
  • Determine which pieces of equipment would benefit you and your individual exercise goals.
