Recreation Services members can sponsor a maximum of two guests per day. Guests must furnish photo identification at the time of entrance to the Student Recreation Center and/or Chick Evans Field House and be accompanied by a Recreation Services member.
One-Day Guest Pass: $8
A Guest Pass is good only for the date in which it was purchased. Guests may leave and re-enter the Student Recreation Center or Chick Evans Field House, accompanied by their sponsoring member, an unlimited number of times within the 24-hour purchase period by presenting their dated receipt. Guests cannot sponsor another guest into either facility. There are no refunds on Guest Passes. Guests are eligible to purchase a Single Class FitPass at the $8 rate plus the Guest Pass fee.
All guest passes must be purchased at the Service Counter of the Student Recreation Center. Guests and their sponsor must show a valid photo identification when purchasing a guest pass.
Short-Term Passes
Short-Term Passes are a great option for persons wishing to use the Student Recreation Center or Chick Evans Field House on an interim basis or at staggered times throughout the year. Short-Term Passes do not require member sponsorship and have limited membership privileges. Photo identification must be shown with a Short-Term Pass when entering either facility.
10 Visit Pass: $40
Visit 10 times within one year from the date of purchase.
15 Visit Pass: $45
Visit 15 times within one year from the date of purchase.
30 Visit Pass: $60
Visit 30 times within one year from the date of purchase.
Conference Passes
Guests attending a conference or workshp at NIU may be eligible to purchase a conference pass. NIU offices and departments interested in offering conference passes to their attendees should contact Recreation Services' Chief Clerk at (815) 753-9417 to make necessary arrangements.
Where can I park when I come to work out?
The parking lots in front of both the Student Recreation Center and Chick Evans Field House are for persons with blue and yellow parking passes.
Metered parking spaces are also available at the Student Recreation Center and are designated by large white signs. Anyone can park in the metered parking spots. Fees for metered spots are $.25 per 15 minutes for up to two hours. The meter for the designated spots is located to the left of the front doors of the Student Recreation Center.
Parking along Stadium Drive East is for blue, yellow, and brown permit parking. Lot K, located south of Stadium Drive is designated for yellow, brown, and orange permit parking.
