Intramural Sports provides a quality recreation experience for the NIU community. The program emphasizes participation and fun through tournaments, leagues, and special events, while fostering a healthy spirit of competition, sportsmanship, teamwork, and friendships.
Whether you were a varsity star, a fifth-string quarterback, or have never participated in a sport, the intramural sports program is the perfect way to get or remain active and involved, meet new people, and have fun. Students participate in the program and also officiate and supervise the activities.
More than 40 intramural sport activities for men's, women's, and co-recreational divisions of play are offered in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
