Recreation Services manages two swimming pools, one in Anderson Hall and the other in Gabel Hall. Both facilities have locker rooms and five 25-yard lanes for lap swimming. A variety of open and lap swimming times are available during the academic year. Adjusted hours are available during interims and summer sessions.
Starting August 1, 2009, pool passes will be included with a Recreation Services membership. Non-member pool passes for open and lap swimming at Anderson and Gabel Hall pools are available.

No. Only Recreation Services faculty and staff memberships can be payroll deducted at this time.

Yes, however, each individual needs a pool pass to use either Anderson or Gabel pools during open/lap swim times.
I am a student. Can I use the pools?
Yes. Fee-paying students on the NIU DeKalb campus have free access to the pools. You must bring your valid NIU OneCard for admittance to open/lap swimming times.
Where can I park when I go to Anderson or Gabel Hall pools?
Various parking options are available for both Anderson and Gabel Halls. Visit Parking Services for more information and parking maps. Except for metered parking, permits are required to park on campus. All Recreation Services members for the Student Recreation Center, Field House, and pools must pick up a parking form at the Student Recreation Center Service Counter and complete, and submit it to Parking Services prior to purchasing a parking pass. There is a parking pass discount for Recreation Services members.
