Sandi started her career in Student Affairs in 1983 at Texas State University (TSU). During her tenure at TSU she served as the Coordinator and Assistant Director of Student Development, Assistant Director of Campus Recreation in Sport Clubs, and then as the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation for Intramural Sports. She also served as an Associate Director of Facility Operations at TSU and assisted in building a dedicated Student Recreation Center. After moving to Illinois she opened a shared recreation, athletic, and physical education facility at an Illinois park district. Sandi began working at NIU in 2001 as an Assistant Director and then Associate Director in Residential Facilities/Housing and Dining. Sandi became the Director of Recreation Services in August, 2006.

Dave started his career in recreation at the University of California Santa Barbara as the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports and Departmental Special Events. In 1996 he joined the Recreation Services staff as the Coordinator for Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs, and Summer Camp. Since then he has served in various roles including Assistant Director of Facilities and Student Employment and now as the Associate Director for Facility Operations. Dave oversees open recreation, facility rentals, capital improvement projects, fitness equipment maintenance, and the day-to-day facility operations of both the Student Recreation Center and Chick Evans Field House. Dave also teaches a section of UNIV 101 in the fall.

Becky has been with Recreation Services in a variety of capacities since 1996. Her current responsibilities include overseeing group fitness classes, personal training and nutrition services, massage therapy and other bodywork services, implementing wellness initiatives, and coordinating the marketing efforts for the department. Becky's past experiences include working as the Coordinator of Student Employment with Recreation Services and as the Assistant Director for Fitness and Wellness at Western Michigan University. Becky also teaches as an adjunct faculty member in the School of Nursing and Health Studies.

Dan has been an employee at NIU since 1980 and with Recreation Services as the Outing Centre Manager in 1996. Currently Dan oversees all aspects of the Outdoor Adventure Program including day, evening, and extended trips, Trip Leader training and development, outdoor clinics, outdoor gear maintenance, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of The Outing Centre.

Matt joined the staff in Recreation Services in the fall of 2007. His responsibilities include coordinating Intramural sport leagues and events and overseeing the Sport Clubs program. Prior to working with Recreation Services, Matt worked as a Sports Equipment Supervisor in Intercollegiate Athletics and Kinesiology and Physical Education at NIU, as a Facility Manager at the Courthouse Athletic Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and as the Intramural Sports Coordinator at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Matt also teaches a section of UNIV 101 in the fall.

Chrissy joined the Recreation Services staff in the summer of 2009. Her responsibilities include coordination of student employment, oversight of all aspects of open recreation, and the organization and implementation of Huskie Pup Camp. Prior to coming to NIU, Chrissy worked as a Facilities Graduate Assistant and International Rec Social Graduate Assistant in Campus Recreation at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

Ebony has been with the Recreation Services staff since 1999. Ebony began her career in Recreation Services as a student employee, and has worked in every facility area. In 2001 she moved into a full-time role as a Secretary III and is now the Chief Business Clerk. Ebony assists in the management of the Recreation Services budget, oversees departmental purchasing, and supervises membership, program sales, and cash operations for the department.

Patty joined the Recreation Services staff in February, 2009. She has been employed at NIU for eight years, previously working in Dining Services. Patty assists Recreation Services in the areas of membership and payroll and managing the day-to-day front office operations.
