The Regional Development Institute (RDI) is staffed by a group of professionals experienced in working with organizations throughout the northern Illinois region. Capitalizing on the connections we’ve built over years of successful initiatives, RDI convenes project stakeholders and pools shared resources to meet vital regional needs.
RDI uses its expertise in research, planning and implementation in the following ways to aid in economic, workforce, and community growth:
- Planning and implementing of a state-of-the-art information technology infrastructure
- Offering support on workforce and economic development initiatives
- Aiding in and strategizing the creation or re-invention of municipal or hospital infrastructure and internal policies
- Providing research necessary for organizational management of growth, expansion and change
- Offering seasoned and confidential advice and help to organizations writing new business plans or obtaining funding for new business practices
- Consulting with individuals and organizations building a manufacturing, technology or agribusiness practice
- Assisting on local school, teacher education and student performance improvement initiatives
- Supplying demographic and geographic research to organizations seeking to make data-driven decisions
