The visual identity of Northern Illinois University is manifested through the consistent use of its official logos, stationery, signage, colors, and other graphic elements. To ensure a unified and consistent institutional visual identity, these elements should be used in accordance with the specifications and guidelines indicated.

Signage
NIU’s signage standards program ensures a consistent visual identity system for the university in terms of construction, installation, and maintenance of campus signs. All requests for permanent (exterior and interior) signs should be directed to Architectural/Engineering Services (Tom Wroblewski, 815-753-6291). Requests for temporary signs should be directed to Media Services, 815-753-0176.
University Colors
