Avoid a Parking Citation
Avoid a Parking Citation
- Permits are required - Get a permit at Parking Services.
- Look at your permit - There are limitations on where you can park with your permit.
- Check the signs and curbs - Each lot has entrance signs that tell which types of permits are authorized. Individual spaces may be marked for a specific type of permit.
- Some areas are enforced 24 hours - Certain lots, spaces and areas require a valid permit 24 hours a day including weekends and holidays.
- Permits are not valid at parking meters
- Don't let your parking meter expire - No grace period is given for meter violations and all vehicles parked in an expired meter stall may receive a parking citation.
- Don't park in cross-hatched areas or access ramps
- Permits must be properly displayed to be valid
- Do not use altered, counterfeit or stolen permits
- Vehicles are considered parked when stopped - whether occupied or not
