Kinesiology credit class

Lesley Rigg and Wayne Finley teach KNPE 101 during an eight week class held in Anderson Hall for one credit hour. This class is only available for female students at this time based on privacy considerations.

The kinesiology class focuses on awareness, risk reduction strategies, and provides physical defense options for a variety of situations. The class includes lectures from university officials including an open question and answer session with police. The physical activities progress to basic hands-on defense training. The final exam will include a dynamic simulation exercise where the students use their new skills to defeat trained "attackers". The students are coached through scenarios by their teachers. The reference manual will be available on NIU’s Blackboard.

To participate in the credit class, enroll in KNPE 101 during the Fall 2015 semester.
