Academics

We offer B.A. and B.S. degrees with a major in psychology. Either program can be used to gain certification to teach social sciences at the junior and senior high school levels. In addition, we offer a minor in psychology. A departmental honors program is offered for qualified majors. Successful completion of the program leads to graduation with honors in psychology.

We offer a continuous program of graduate study leading to the Ph.D. degree. As part of their program of study, students complete a master’s degree with a research thesis. Because of the nature of research training, we expect that students will generally be enrolled full-time (12 hours per semester) throughout their graduate training.

We provide advanced training in several areas of psychology including:

  • Clinical Psychology
  • Cognitive and Instructional Psychology
  • Developmental Psychology
  • Neuroscience and Behavior
  • School Psychology
  • Social-Industrial/Organizational Psychology
