Section II. Item 25.
Assignment of regular-full-time faculty to teach at sites other than the DeKalb or Taft campuses should be made respecting the fact that "off-campus" teaching will often require a greater commitment of time and effort than is involved in teaching the same course(s) "on-campus." Hence,
- If the faculty in a given unit collectively agree to deliver part or all of a given program off-campus, assignment to teach off-campus shall be made on an equitable a basis as possible.
- If no collective agreement has been made to offer a program of instruction off-campus, individual faculty have the right to decline assignment to an off-campus site if the individual perceives that inequities arising from such assignment have not been adequately redressed through additional compensation, consideration, or benefit.
Every effort should be made to avoid development of either a "second-class" faculty or a "second-class" curriculum for off-campus instruction. Hence,
- All off-campus instruction for credit shall be subject to the same curriculum standards, assessment, and instructional evaluation procedures as are on-campus courses.
- Faculty, regardless of location of instruction, shall be considered members of the appropriate on-campus academic administrative units (departments, divisions, and colleges).
