Task Force Reports

The Program Prioritization process at NIU is designed to help us best align our resources with our mission so that we may become a stronger, more innovative and sustainable university. The process has been thorough, inclusive, data-informed and transparent. The Academic and Administrative Task Forces have now completed their work and their Executive Summaries and Reports are posted on this webpage. These reports will guide the next phase of the Program Prioritization process. In this phase, vice presidents and other divisional leaders, including deans, will review the recommendations within these reports, review feedback from the university community, consult with program leaders, and develop Action Plans for further review. These plans are to be completed by July 15, 2016. Following feedback from the university community and action planning, the President will be releasing a comprehensive progress report in fall 2016.  At that time, additional materials will be made public.

Individuals interested in providing feedback on these reports for consideration by divisional leaders can do so anonymously, or otherwise, through the feedback page on this website. For your feedback to be considered in the development of Action Plans, it must be submitted by May 23, 2016. Within the body of the task force reports, the categorization section will be presented by each catgegory. To search for your program, simply enter “Ctrl+F” and you will see a search box where you can enter the name of your program and be taken immediately to that section. In the coming days, additional appendices displaying results for programs sorted by colleges and/or divisions, and sorted alphabetically will be forthcoming.
