·         Confucian Culture and Chinese Power Politic [A theoretically grounded project that examines China’s security policy during both the imperial and the contemporary periods, and argues that China’s pacifist Confucian culture has historically failed to constrain its decision to use force. Instead, China has been acting like as realist power in Asia, expanding its political and military interests as its power grew.]
