April 2, 2012: Effective today, Craig Hill became the new unit vice president of Survey and Computing Sciences (SCS). Hill will also continue as the division vice president of the Survey Research Division (SRD) as the search for candidates is conducted. Much work has gone into preparing our management team for potential roles in the event of a change in our management structure," he said. Hill joined RTI initially in 1998 as a senior survey director, principal scientist and department manager for SRD. After a two-year stint at Medrock, Inc., he rejoined RTI in 2002 as vice president of SRD. During his career, he has also served as a research vice president at the National Opinion Research Center. During his more than 30 years in the area of survey research, he has directed projects for a wide variety of federal, academic and commercial clients. As the vice president of SRD, he has been responsible for a portfolio of more than 100 studies and 150 professional staff members.Hill has published and presented more than 50 papers related to survey methods, including topics as diverse as hospital ranking methodology, interviewer fraud and new technology for surveys. Hill holds a master's and a doctorate degree in political science from the University of New Orleans, and a bachelor's in political science from Northern Illinois University.
