Professor Kikue Hamayotsu has been awarded a three-month Visiting Senior Research Fellowship at Asian Research Institute, National University of Singapore. The fellowship is worth roughly $20,000.
Beginning next May, Kikue will work within ARI's Religion & Globalization cluster on a project titled "The Future of Political Islam in Muslim Southeast Asia." Her specific contributions to the project will be in the area of religious parties and electoral politics in Indonesia and Malaysia.
ARI is an internationally renowned multidisciplinary research institute on political, historical, and social issues in Asia. It is a major honor for Kikue to have been selected as a fellow and the department of Political Science extends a hearty congratulations to her on this impressive accomplishment!
