Von Hagel to Receive 2011 Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award

Political Science doctoral student, Alisa Von Hagel, has been selected to receive a 2011 Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award sponsored by the Faculty Development and Instructional Design Center at Northern Illinois University. Only a few graduate students are selected to receive this university-wide honor each year.
Alisa has continued a proud tradition in the Department of Political Science. She is the sixth political science graduate student to receive this award since 2004.  Previous department recipients include Adriana Crocker, Mazen Nagi, Christopher Whidden, Jason Jividen, and Geoff Rogal. This list is significant given the campus-wide award has only existed for eight years and normally only three individuals are chosen each year.
Alisa will be recognized at the Graduate Student Recognition Reception sponsored by the Division of Research and Graduate Studies on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm at the Altgeld Hall Auditorium along with the recipients of all university-wide graduate student awards.
