If a NIU Department requires any of the above services, the Building Services department can be contacted as follows:
Building Services Department
The NIU Physical Plant Building Services department is responsible for routine and emergency janitorial services for buildings within the University community, including the following services:
- Routine and emergency janitorial services for buildings within the University community (excluding: Holmes Student Center)
- Snow removal from building entrances
- Trash removal
- Pest and bug extermination requests for submission to an external pest control company
- Replacement of light bulbs that can be changed in a safe manner
Services available upon prior request:
- Light moving services within buildings with elevators
- Support for campus events
