Dr. William E. Tolhurst Travel Fund

The Dr. William E. Tolhurst Travel Fund was established by Dr. Tolhurst's family and friends to honor his 33 years (1977-2010) of service to Northern Illinois University as a dedicated teacher, mentor, scholar, and department chair. Dr. Tolhurst's teaching and scholarship focused primarily on aesthetics and ethics, but also included Chinese philosophy. The fund provides financial support of travel expenses for philosophy graduate students who deliver papers in the area of value theory at professional conferences.
