COURSE CONTENT
We will canvass the views on the nature of the good expressed by some fairly recent historical figures, such as Henry Sidgwick, G. E. Moore, C. L. Stevenson, W. D. Ross, and R. B. Perry, before focusing on late-twentieth-century Anglo-American writers, including Roderick Chisholm, Richard Brandt, Robert Nozick, Derek Parfit, James Griffin, and Noah Lemos.
COURSE FORMAT
The class will be conducted as a seminar, with seminar reports by participants, and a final term paper.
