COURSE CONTENT
We will begin with a short section on moral theory. Some of the following issues will be examined: truthtelling and confidentiality in the medical setting, decisions to refuse medical treatment, physician-assisted suicide, euthanasia, termination of treatment of defective newborns, stem cell research, partial-birth abortion, cochlear implants, infant genital surgery for sex-assignment or normalizing purposes, medical research using animals.
