COURSE CONTENT
A survey of Western philosophy from the 16th to 18th century. Authors discussed include Rene Descartes, Elisabeth of Bohemia, Baruch Spinoza, Gottfried Leibniz, Margaret Cavendish, John Locke, George Berkeley, David Hume, and Immanuel Kant.

COURSE FORMAT
Three in-class tests, one 6-8 page paper.
