Policymakers and educators share important new obligations given the new reality that most citizens now need at least some post-secondary education to succeed in today’s workforce.
To meet this responsibility, NIU coordinates hundreds of programs, partnerships and other activities from pre-school through graduate school. An executive-level P-20 Task Force provides leadership toward building a P-20 system, focusing our efforts on three goals:
1. raising student achievement
2. improving teacher quality
3. creating seamless transitions across the system through research-based practices.
