Data for School Innovation (DSI) is a new NIU program that provides Illinois teachers with consolidated reporting and analysis of student assessment data to inform curricular and instructional practices. DSI offers two related services. We work with schools to assemble multiple sources of their assessment data into an online database with web-based information displays that teachers can access and utilize. Then, we connect schools with professional development experts who help educators analyze the data to fine-tune teaching practices that improve instruction and learning.
