These popular classes are taught by professional instructors from the Institute of Reading Development and offered locally through NIU Outreach. For more information, or to enroll online, please select an age group below:

The summer reading programs are available in Arlington Heights, Barrington, Brookfield, Chicago Heights, Downers Grove, Elgin, Elmhurst, Evanston, Gurnee, Hinsdale, Hoffman Estates, Joliet, Lake Forest, Lisle, Orland Hills, River Forest, Rockford, Sandwich, St. Charles, Wheaton, Wilmette, and other locations throughout Illinois.

The programs are offered by Northern Illinois University’s Outreach Services, and taught by the Institute of Reading Development. Programs have been offered locally since 1995. These programs are not affiliated with NIU College of Education Literacy Clinic.
