Responsibilities

Laurie Wassman is Client Relations Coordinator for the Association Resources Center (ARC). She assumed her current position in July, 2010. Prior to joining the ARC team, Laurie spent 13 years with Northern Illinois University Conference Centers in a broad range of business development responsibilities.

While supporting the NIU Conference Centers, Laurie was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and future clients. Her primary function was to contact potential and past clients to discern their facility requirements and introduce the conference centers as a possible meeting site. Her activities included coordination and participation in industry trade shows, client appreciation calls, maintaining relationships with local convention bureaus and chambers of commerce, developing partnerships with area hotels, and conducting site tours.
