I made a presentation on NSF funding (agency basics, 2010 budget outlook, and new policies, plus some proposal-writing tips) on Thursday, November 5. If you weren't able to attend, or if you want a reminder of what was discussed, the slides from the presentation are now available.
Thanks to all who attended our NIH Brown Bag presentation. If you weren't able to attend, or if you want a reminder of what was discussed, the slides from the presentation are now available.
The National Science Foundation will host a regional grants conference in Cleveland, Ohio, March 22-23, 2010. Registration is not yet open for this conference, but is expected to open in December. Watch this page for more information and registration materials when they become available. The Fall 2010 regional conference will be in Salt Lake City. These brief conferences provide an excellent opportunity for faculty (particularly those who have not yet submitted a proposal to NSF or had one funded) to meet program staff and learn how the Foundation operates.
